Napoli’s home stadium is a footballing temple. Despite its old age and rugged appearance, it still produces a magical atmosphere on those special occasions.  If you are in Naples on a trip and there is a match happening, certainly take the time to watch the match there if possible. Getting to the San Paolo is rather easy. You can take the metro line 1 to Campi Flegrei. If you are just arriving to Napoli by train, you can transfer over right from Napoli Centrale as that is a stop along line 1. Once there, you just have to walk straight forward and you will shortly see the stadium. If you are in the Montesanto area, you can also take the Cumana to the Mostra stop. That will leave you right next to the stadium as well.
